Oh, beautiful Minnesota with your land of 10,000 lakes. Your beauty is found in your landscapes of green, as far as the eye can see. With the bustling winds blowing through the trees, Minnesota, you are a sight to see! But Minnesota, why have you forgotten? Why have you not released the snowy grip that has covered our great land? Snowflakes in exchange for blades of green. Gray skies instead of blue. Will spring ever come to our frozen tundra or will we remain the frozen chosen? Oh Minnesota, we ask for spring to come! Unfreeze your great lakes and let us take to the water. Unfreeze your beautiful prairies and let us hike the great outdoors. We dream of warm temps and the sun shining in our faces. Don’t make me miss my native Australia! Your people are cold, as we wait for spring. Oh Minnesota, we need to declare spring is here!
